Kelly + Gio had a beautiful Maison & Jardin wedding and we were so excited to be there! Miguel has known Gio since he was just a boy running around his fathers restaurant (La Dolce Vita is where Miguel learned his fabulous chef skills) and over the 10+ years he worked there, he (and I) grew close to the Bordenga family. There aren’t enough words to describe how pleased and honored we are to be chosen to capture Gio and Kelly’s love story. They’re truly a match made in heaven!

How They Met:
“Kelly and I met on a random Saturday Night before Halloween. we both weren’t suppose to be there but some how by some way we both showed up to make a blind date our friends were on less awkward. After talking for a while and her driving with me to a Halloween block party, which if you ask her she still doesn’t know why she drove around alone in some random guys car that night. lucky for me she did cause when the night was over we had set up our first date the next night and the rest is history. Over three years later I’m still in awe how so many things had to go right just for us to meet that night, which is just one the many reason I knew I found my soul mate.” ~ Gio

Their Engagment Story:
“We got engaged in st Augustine, where i surprised her on the top of the light house over looking the bay. this sounds super cool and romantic but at the time she was 6 months pregnant and i made her climb up 300 and something odd stairs to the top only telling her she had to see the view. after five breaks on the way up and almost quiting twice she finally made it up to the top where i surprised her and asked the question. after it all she did admit that it was all worth it.” ~ Gio

Oh my goodness, this was a wedding day to remember. Victoria and Jonathan are just the most amazing funny loving and gorgeous people you could ever meet and Their Castle Hotel wedding was filled with love, laughter and glitter coming at you from all directions!  It was simply perfect!

A little bit about Victoria and Jonathan!
How they met…           “It was Thursday, December 2nd, 2010 when both of our BFFs had started seeing each other and invited us out that night to Cowboys which is a country club here in Orlando. Basically…after I danced with Jon, I knew I liked him right away. The very next day he asked to hang out again, so we all got together at his place and coincidentally he ended up living right down the road from me. Jonathan was so cute and sweet that I finally gave him my number and we ended up hanging out pretty much every single day after that…the rest is history =)”

Their engagement story…      “November 1st, 2013 at The Yacht Basin in Ft. Myers (where we took the engagement photos). He said he had been wanting to ask me for a while but was waiting until I had some free time in PA school. He was trying to wait until Christmas but once he bought the ring he could not wait any longer. Jonathan is an engineer and on our way out to dinner one night said he had to go by The Yacht Basin beforehand to look at the stormwater retention and tricked me into going out by the water where he got down on one knee.” ~ Victoria

Not only was their engagement a perfect Disney fantasy…
So was their wedding! Check out their Beauty and the Beast Mission Inn wedding below!

“We got engaged on July 7th, 2014 at the Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom. As a former cast member we were trying to get a reservation for dinner since it first opened. After going to the dress rehearsal and making the 1 hour line just for lunch we finally got one it was just a 6 month wait and on a Wednesday. I was so happy that Arturo found one and didn’t care that it was a Wednesday. For me it was just another excuse to go to Disney after work. The countdown started I didn’t think anything special of it just that I was finally going to dinner at Be Our Guest, at night, and will get a picture with the Beast, SCORE!  When the day finally arrived the hostess gave us a pager and instructed us to wait by the bridge. We took pictures of the decor and started talking about how pretty it was. The fountain was on and I ask Arturo if he had a shiny penny to make a wish, he had 2 so we each decided to make one. I made a wish to the Fairy Godmother saying “such a romantic night wouldn’t it be awesome if he popped the question, this is my wish.” Turned around and threw the penny in the fountain. Arturo made his and toss the penny in the water. Our buzzer didn’t go off but Arturo said did that lady just said our name, I looked at the pager and said nope. Well yes she did, she grabbed us and gave us a tour even though we’ve been there before but I didn’t care, I was excited!!! Our table was all the way by the “windows” and it had started to “snow.” I was in so happy we ordered our food my back towards the restaurant because I wanted us to be there. Arturo kept going to the bathroom and I was just in my own head thinking “Ahhhh we are finally here” We had our dinner and dessert was ordered and of course I wanted to try the grey stuff. Dessert came and I turned my head to grab my phone and take a picture when a plate from the bottom of the cart was placed in front of me I looked at it not reading it and was about to say ‘we didn’t order this’ when there he was on his knees and blurted out ‘will you marry?’ I screamed of joy and the restaurant went silent he told me to turn around and there was our family cheering taking video. I hugged everyone still not answering and my mom asked me “are you going to give him an answer?” The restaurant waiting and I screamed “YES!” everyone cheered and clapped and I was on Cloud 9. We gather around the table grabbed chairs from other tables and just sat, laughed, ate dessert, had a drink and just took pictures until there were barely any people in the restaurant. We walked out and the cast member were so happy and even the hostess was there. She was in on it the whole time hiding our families behind curtains and YES, we were them, the ones who were getting engaged that night. We ran to the the Prince Charming Carousel and rode it together all of of laughing and drying our eyes. I couldn’t believe my wish came true. I had just wished it like I did at every fountain but this time with a little bit of Disney magic my dream came true!”  Janarelys <3

We had such a great time with Betty and Alex at their West Palm Beach Wedding! The day started with getting ready at beach resort, followed by a gorgeous first look in a beautiful garden. Then we headed over to their ceremony in the park followed with a reception in the yacht club. So many places to take images, we were in heaven!

We were honored to be a part of their day and they left us a heartfelt review!
“Jen Soltren and her family deserve 10++ out of 5 stars!! From the beginning, my wedding planner advised me to find the right photographer. At the end of your wedding, all you have is your photography to reflect and remember your big day. I am so lucky and grateful that we found Soltren through online reviews. Jen and Miguel met with us 6 months prior to our wedding to discuss their pricing and services. They were enthusiastic, professional, hard working and definitely very passionate about their work. For the day of the wedding, they were timely and followed a schedule that we put together 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding. They are such great people to work with, made us and all our guests so happy and comfortable in front of the camera. Soltren will provide you with all the photos online that you can download with a code they provide to you. Each of the photos were edited! We had over 1000 beautiful and breathtaking photos from our wedding day that we were all edited. Soltren went above and beyond. I highly recommend them to any couple looking for a wedding photographer”~ Betty
